Aimee studied both Art and Theatre for her BA and graduated summa cum laude. She has been teaching for over 5 years and has loved the humor, honesty, and imagination the children have shared with her. Aimee has traveled to South East Asia and Africa to work with children, and one of her favorite moments abroad was when she lead an art and crafts session with over 200 Ethiopian children! Even with the overwhelming amount of kids, she was able to share her love of art with some amazing children.
Aimee has worked with Kelly Lamb, a designer in Los Angeles, where she honed her clay hand-building skills, glaze techniques, and mold making. She is fluent in a variety of traditional mediums but her favorites are watercolor, acrylic, and oil. Shortly after moving to the Bay Area two years ago she received the Alameda’s Artist Award and has shown her work in the East Bay and San Francisco.
She spends her free time designing stuffed animals and painting commissioned portraits. Aimee believes art is a safe way to learn problem solving skills and gain perspective on how to handle challenges on a canvas and in life.
